Pistol Panties is the brainchild of the designer Deborah Fleming who wanted to bring glamour and excitement to the swimwear market. Deborah envisages that you can wear her designs on the beach as well as with a pair of heels to the disco!
For her latest collection Deborah took her inspiration from Studio 54 and wanted to put its ethos and vintage glamour into the swimwear. The fabrics, prints and cuts are very much inspired by the 1970’s.
Deborah said: “As a swimsuit or bikini is only covering five percent of your body it should be glamorous.”
And glamorous it is. For the Spring/Summer 2011 collection the fabric is from Switzerland and has a silk like feel to it. Kate Moss, in a campaign for Vogue Sunglasses, wore a red piece that is one of Deborah’s designs.
Deborah has a large celebrity following and her designs are worn by Claudia Schiffer, Kelly Osbourne, Mariah Carey and Kelly Brook to name a few.
Her sizes go up to a size 16 so they cater for the curvy girls and with the beautiful ruffle detailing on some of the bikini bottoms and cut outs in the swimsuits they extenuate the womanly figure.
